Joe Sena is BGI’s Executive Director of Government Programs, he works to support government projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge Tennessee. Most recently, Mr. Sena was employed as the acting Manager of Projects for the environmental restoration and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Remediation Program at Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos (N3B). In this position he was responsible for the management and implementation of the Water Program’s scope and mission, as well as the oversight of its critical subcontractors.
Mr. Sena has multiple years of experience in environmental remediation and management. During his time as deputy director for N3B’s Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Remediation Program, he was responsible for coordinating the required support for N3B’s Environmental Remediation Program activities including radiological protection, environmental safety and health assurance, regulatory compliance, and acquisition management. He was also the responsible line manager for all Remediation Program field activities. Prior to working with N3B at Los Alamos, Mr. Sena served as deputy of construction and environmental subcontracts in the Construction Management Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Joseph Sena has over 20 years of practical working and management experience in the areas of environmental restoration, contract and procurement management, engineering, and environmental investigations including the supervision of personnel and subcontractors on projects supporting the US Department of Energy mission.
